| I am looking for Chinese partners to open up retail furniture stores in the Houston, Texas area, furnishing them with furniture and accessories from China. Houston is the fourth largest city in the United States, and is currently experiencing a large housing boom. This is a golden opportunity for an expanding Chinese company who wants to enter the U.S. market, starting with Houston, and then expanding elsewhere later.
As Executive Director for one of these companies, I would bring over 30 years of experience in retail furniture sales, marketing, operations, finance, and general management. My family business, Blum¡¯s Furniture Company (in Houston), was, in the 1980¡¯s and 1990¡¯s, one of the largest independent furniture companies in Texas. Besides selling upper medium to high-end American-made furniture, we imported millions of dollars of furniture and accessories from China. In the stores I am proposing, I am wanting to show American style traditional and contemporary furniture and accessories, with the full lines of bedrooms, dining rooms, living rooms, and occasional pieces.
